By seeing the work quality of BWA, WFP decided to provide a FLA for 6 months to BWA for the Nutrition Project in Umerkot under the title "The Implementation of Community-Based Management of Acute Malnutrition (CMAM) initiative in Flood Affected Areas of Pakistan".

 

BWA covered 12 Union Councils (UCs) namely: Kharoro Syed, Khejrari, Faqir Abdullah, Mir Wali Mohammad Talpur, Sabho, Umerkot, Gharibabad, Atta Mohammad Palli, DhoroNaro, Kaplora, Choore, and Khokhrapar of Taluka Umerkot, District Umerkot, Sindh.

 

The Project started on 1st January 2012 and ended on 30th June 2012.

 

BWA distributed over 100 trucks of food to the flood affectees.

 

The Project was successfully completed.
