Legal Status

 

BWA is a ‘Non-Governmental’, ‘Non-sectarian’, ‘Non-Political’ and ‘Not for Profit’ organization that was established on May16, 2004, and registered with the voluntary social welfare Agencies, Directorate ofSocial Welfare Sindh, under the (Registration and Control Ordinance 1961).

 

Governing Body of the NGO

 

BWA is managed by a “Seven Member Executive Committee” who oversee the affairs of the NGO and give policy decisions to implement the “Financial”. “Administrative” and “Operational” functioning  of the organization.

 

Objectives of the NGO

 

• Adhere to strong values

• Enhance and maintain a good degree of governance and transparency

• Disseminate reports on particular activities, by using effective means of communication

• Abide by the legal structure in the form of a constitution / By-Laws in the day-to-day functioning of the NGO, and be accountable to the Executive Committee

• Follow good management practices with the aim to strengthen institutional capacity and sustainability

• Follow good financial management practices

• Follow a practice of self evaluation and self regulation

 

Mission Statement

 

To undertake various projects with the “AIM: to work for the welfare and benefit of poor communities (the disadvantaged and marginalized) in rural and urban areas, so as to improve their overall living conditions and quality of life by bringing about a change in their thinking and attitude, that will provide them a clean environment to live in.

 

Vision of the NGO

 

BWA has the “VISION” to see it placed as a leading NGO in all the provinces of Pakistan with the strategic “AIM” to see itself established and recognized as a major “Welfare Institution” whereby, it can implement major projects in these places with the inherent institutional capacity to sustain itself independently, with proper systems and producers, good governance and modern management techniques applied to run the affairs of the NGO in a truly professional manner.
